coord concept: throw on as much black raschel lace as I own

I'm very proud of myself, I finally got round to making a black raschel lace headdress, with this coord being the last bit of motivation I needed to get me moving. I've been meaning to make one for months but been too lazy, and too cheap to just add one onto a Mercari order because I'd always think to myself how easy it would be to make one for myself.

the weather turned out to be far hotter than I expected so I only wore it for a short time before getting changed into a comfy (and kinda ugly tbh) putu coord

coord rundown:
headdress: handmade
blouse, socks and bloomers: metamorphose
cape: bodyline
skirt and bustier: marble
shoes: tokyo bopper

(is it the thing to do to list bloomers in your coord rundown? idk. I guess if they're peeking like mine are then it's ok)

Hi all, it's been a little while since I posted anything due to my old phone finally kicking the bucket. not that I use dreamwidth on my phone, but that I usually take my coord snaps on my phone and didn't really have anything else I wanted to post about. (at least I tell myself that's why, we'll not mention I've had my new phone for over a week now)

this coord i was pretty excited with as my new rrm cutsew had come in the mail and I was eager to wear it. the material is very soft and comfy but I'm going to have to replace the elastic in the sleeves for something looser.

i think my instincts for old school have reached their peak, I bought these socks on a whim thinking they might look nice with old school despite the lolibrary entry for them being from like 09 or something (don't quote me on that I have a terrible memory and can't be bothered checking) then a day or so later i spotted the same socks when looking through some old magazines. that's my most impressive story don't laugh at me

coord rundown
headbow: btssb
cutsew: rrm
skirt: cornet
underskirt: meta
socks: etc
shoes: demonia

this coord was fun, I based it around the necklace, which has a small pink gem. I don't have a whole lot of pink so I'm not entirely sure why I bought it in the first place but I do have these pink and black socks so that's where the colour scheme came from

I must have been holding my mouth funny, my lips look so thin :( almost didn't post this picture but I wanted to show y'all the lil angel

coord rundown
bonnet: mam
blouse: meta
skirt: cornet
socks (both pairs lol i layered them): meta
shoes: demomia
necklace: ETC

hi! so recently I've been working on a 7 coords 10 items challenge and I've finally got it finished ^^

I stuck with a bxw colour scheme, plus one floral piece, so they could all be mixed and matched easily

I chose an apron and a bustier because they're my go-to layering pieces. Read more... )

coord post time again ^^

I'd recently gotten my bodyline corset in working order after some alterations so I was excited to wear it again. my original plan was to go super ero with this coord with just the bustier but it didn't work out, though I feel like it retained some of the ero inspiration.

this mini hat had been in my mercari haul and I was pretty eager to try it out because I'd never worn a mini hat before. I tried different hairstyles but ended up going with my usual twin buns because they create a lot of volume which I thought helped balance out the hat. wearing the mini hat for the first time was an... experience. not that anything bad happened, I just felt really, really goofy. I'm sure I'll get used to it though, when I first started wearing bonnets I felt the same way but now they're some of my favourite headpieces

coord rundown
hat: Innocent World
bolero: Victorian Maiden
busier: Bodyline
skirt: unknown
socks: Metamorphose
shoes: Bodyline
bag: Spica
parasol: BTSSB
jewelry: MILK, Jane Marple and Vivienne Westwood

idk man I just love ero lolita even if it's impractical to wear during the day and I don't really go out often. the corset with the choker necklace, the rhs, the edgy little double-ring-with-a-chain situation and the little bit of thigh in this coord were very satisfying, though I did find myself wishing I had some garter stockings to push the whole look a little further... maybe some day. I have accepted my identity as a lolita thot

I had fun wearing this coord two days ago, with a new bustier from my recent order. I had to cut out the panel behind the lacing to make it fit over my bust and I don't regret it at all. I also re-laced it the way you would a corset, and it now fits beautifully. never feel bad about altering brand; they're your clothes and you deserve to have them fit you

anyway, I find it oddly satisfying to match brands so I paired my heart e blouse and skirt, then threw on my favourite blackxwhite headdress to tie in the colour scheme. I know I wear this headdress with every other coord and I suppose to some people it might be boring but I don't owe anyone originality ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

꒰ა♱໒꒱ coord rundown
꒰ა♱໒꒱ headdress: innocent world
꒰ა♱໒꒱ blouse: heart e
꒰ა♱໒꒱ bustier: jane marple
꒰ა♱໒꒱ skirt: heart e
꒰ა♱໒꒱ shoes: bodyline
꒰ა♱໒꒱ bag: spica
꒰ა♱໒꒱ necklace: black peace now

I'm still thinking about making a haul post but it would involve taking a lot of photos I really can't be bothered taking so I'm not sure if it will ever happen. let me know if you do want one though and maybe that will motivate me to do it, who knows?

I wore this coord last week to play d&d and just generally vibe and I really enjoyed it

the jsk is woollen and I'd accidentally shrunk it by putting it in with the normal laundry but I managed to stretch it again after some very intense soaking in a conditioner wash. this mishap with the dress made me appreciate it even more once I could finally wear it again.

I coorded it very simply with shades of white and cream to have the dress itself stand out, then added a little angel necklace I've been really enjoying

coord rundown
jsk: emily temple cute
blouse: innocent world
underskirt and socks: metamorphose
headdress: parerga
bag: la luice
shoes: bodyline
necklace: jane marple

angel/cherub themes are some of my absolute favorites, and I actually have a few new cutsews with angel prints that arrived recently, so I'm eager to make a little haul post as soon as I get the time to do so

just another cute casual coord from the other day ^^

I recently realised that I've never taken photos in this dress, despite wearing it almost constantly. From the Chinese indie brand Boguta, it was actually my very first lolita purchase. It is a light, summery cotton karami fabric, and it's held up well to four years of wear, although the original buttons have broken.

I'd been planning to wear this dress so that was my starting point. I often come to a coord with an item or combination of items already in mind, even if it's something as small as an accessory or piece of jewelry. I considered various blouses but decided they'd be too hot and went for this crocheted cutsew I'd made two years ago and have barely worn since.

I skipped a petti due to the heat, so combined with the longer silhouette and the lack of a traditional blouse I wanted the rest of my coord to look more stereotypically lolita. When I break the "rules" I tend to balance it out with some pieces that are distinctly lolita to keep the coord straying too far. My favourite ways to do this include parasols, bags, shoes and hairstyles and I find that this way you can skip things like headdresses, petticoats and blouses (though probably not all at the same time), while still maintaining a recognisable lolita coord. Or maybe I'm just ita idk :p

anyway, to get back to the point, for this coord I added one of my favourite headdresses, did my signature (translation; lazy go-to) twin bun hairstyle, and went with white pieces for the rest to keep the colour scheme simple. I used an embroidered ex-potpourri sachet requisitioned as a coin pouch when I'd gone into town for errands and it matched nicely so I decided to add that. I then managed to get one decent photo before the march flies attacked too vigorously and I ran back inside.

and that's it! it was just a simple coord but I liked it and I wanted to give this dress the love it deserves ♡♡♡

frumpy-cute coord from the other day. I've been refining the directions I want to take my wardrobe, and this frumpy, dolly kind of sweet is one of them. I might do a post chatting about my desired aesthetics; it helps me get my ideas clear in my head to be able to write them down somewhere.

I made this little crocheted eyepatch a while ago, it's really fun and unexpectedly comfy. I'm planning to make an eyepatch with a cross pattern some day, and maybe a heart-shaped one as well ♡

coord rundown
♡ bonnet: maxicimam
♡ blouse: metamorphose
♡ skirt: victorian maiden
♡ socks: heart e
♡ shoes: demonia
♡ bag: la luice
♡ eyepatch: handmade
